ASHER ROTH. 3.30.09

Asher Roth
Now that was a dope concert. Asher is a great performer, he great energy really knows how to pump up a crowd. Asher was a real humble cool dude. I was on accident that I meet him. I was in an elevator leaving an interview with k.dot and this random fly guy with a Philly accent ask “hey where you guys going tonight, I answer “fine line”, he says “cool me too”. I get out of the elevator and think, well that was random …and move on with my day. I had made my way down the elevator to get to a lobby gift shop to buy batteries for the flash on my camera. So as I’m search franticly for the gift shop, the fly Philly kid pops up again, so I ask do you know where the gift shop is, then he walks us to the gift shops, helps me find batteries, makes sure I got the right ones. Then I look at him really close and think "wow he looks familiar" then another Philly accent kid walks by and I ask are you guys performers, he says yeah, that’s Asher Roth. Then as I finally put in together, I ask Asher for and interview he says yes; He invites Christina and me to the " b96 rip the run way"(which by the way was DOPE) where he performed a set. And the whole time I'm shooting video, recording, flashing lights, and he just smiles at the camera.

But back to the music. ASHER ROTH'S MIXTAPE. The green house effect, LISTEN TO IT NOW. LIKE RIGHT NOW. Man, he is right now, hands down, my FAV new artist. The Greenhouse Effect is mad dope. And make sure you check out his album “Asleep in the Bread Isle” it’s the FIRST ALBUM IN HISTORY TO COME OUT ON A MONDAY. And it comes out on a special day for Asher and millions of others. 4.20.09. Yes, I said 4.20. And you would believe this; the CD is wrapped in PAPER, not regular paper, but ROLLING PAPER. Clever guy huh? When he told me about the CD I said, wow great marketing and he said, “ Nope, I just want every one to roll up when they listen to it”
